FRASER HISTORY
Because of its close location to Main and Knight, these three communities were almost like a family growing up together. Pioneers had made trails around the bottom of Little Mountain for easier access and then went on to log the mountain. Soon enough, in the early 1900’s people were moving to the area and a small community had begun to grow up as upper Fraser Street.
In 1940, the mountain with a view that everybody enjoyed was renamed as Queen Elizabeth Park. It has now become a beautiful community centre and park for all residents to enjoy. The area had developed into a close neighbourhood with houses crowded onto small lots.
